Elections: media information
European Parliamentary elections - Thursday 23 May 2019
The UK was due to leave the EU on 29 March 2019, which would have meant no further elections to the European parliament. However, as it remains a member, the next European parliamentary election will take place on Thursday 23 May 2019, unless the UK leaves the EU before that date.
Count and results
The count for West Oxfordshire will take place in Witney on Sunday 26 May. These results will be fed back to the Regional Returning Officer who will announce the results for the South East Region as a whole. Results can only be announced after 10pm on Sunday 26 May when polls across the EU have closed.

General information and filming permissions
There will be 89 polling stations in West Oxfordshire on 23 May 2019. They will be open from 7am - 10pm. (You cannot film inside a polling station. However, you can film outside if in a public area).
