New roles and fresh appointment unveiled in Cabinet
West Oxfordshire District Council Leader James Mills has appointed his new Cabinet.
Cllr Michele Mead is a new face to the five-strong team taking on responsibility for Health and Leisure. Cllr Mead replaces Jeanette Baker, who stood down at the last election.
She is joined by Cllr Toby Morris (Resources and Deputy Leader), Cllr Jeff Haine (Strategic Planning), Cllr Norman MacRae (Environment) and Cllr Steve Good (Communities and Housing).
Also announced at the meeting was the appointment of Cllr Harry Eaglestone as Chairman of the Council with Cllr Jane Doughty as Deputy Chairman.
Cllr Mills has also appointed five councillors as Champions with specific responsibilities.
Cllr Nick Leverton becomes the Armed Forces and Veterans Champion; Cllr Harry St John is Rural Champion; Cllr Louise Chapman is Elderly Persons Champion; Cllr Andrew Beaney is Young Persons Champion and Cllr Jill Bull is Social Inclusion Champion.
