Getting rid of large items

If you have a large item which you are unable to take to a recycling centre you can book a bulky waste collection.

Charges for bulky waste collection

The cost is £34.00 for up to four items. Please see details below of what we can and can't collect.

Please note: Your items will all be collected on the same day, but some may be collected at different times, by a different crew, depending on how recyclable your items are.

Book a bulky waste collection

Collections are from 6am and you will need to leave the items where they can be easily accessed, for example, where you normally leave your bins. We cannot help with moving them from your house.

We are unable to collect business waste or do house clearances. For business waste please click here.

Items we will collect for an additional charge

Non-standard bulky waste collections cost £34.00 per item. Many of these items can be disposed of at the Household waste and recycling centres at a lower charge. We can arrange collection of:

Bath, cast iron or plastic
Boiler
Carpet
Doors, single
Extractor hood
Fence panels up to four units, nails must be flattened or removed
Fitted furniture
Garage door
Hot water cylinders and cold water tanks
Kitchen units, up to four units
Plastic cladding or guttering
Radiators
Shed, dismantled, nails must be flattened or removed
Sink
Storage heaters
Taps and pipes
Toilet
Vanity units
Worktops, up to four units

Terms and conditions

All items must be presented together outside for collection by 6am on the agreed day of collection.

All items must be:

accessible at the kerbside, if this is not possible or your property is accessed by a private road contact us before booking.
easily accessible for the Recycling Operatives
presented in a safe fashion which does not cause any obstruction or danger to the public
emptied before collection

If that will not be possible call us on 01993 861000 because we may not be able to collect your items.

This service is for household items from residential premises only and no DIY, commercial or industrial waste will be collected.

All items must match the description given at the time of booking the bulky item collection.

Once booked, no amendments can be made to the booking and no refunds are given. If items are left out for collection and are taken before the collection date, no monies can be refunded.

We reserve the right to cancel or amend the booking.
