Carterton Town Council Election
Carterton Town Rock Farm ward (1 seat); Carterton Town Shillbrook ward (2 seat); and Carterton Town Upavon ward (1 seat)
Following four Town Councillor vacancies for the Carterton Town Council, a town poll has requested to fill the vacancies by election.
Following the close of candidate nomincations, an election will take place on Thursday 16 January 2025 between the hours of 7am to 10pm, voting will take place for all registered local government electors at:
FM - Carterton North West/Carterton Rock Farm – Carterton Methodist Church
FM2 - Carterton North West/Carterton Shillbrook – Army Cadet Hall
FM3 – Carterton North East/Carterton Upavon – Carterton Methodist Church
FM4 – Carterton North East/Carterton Upavon – Carterton Community Centre
The Counting of the votes will take place at the Returning Officer address at the Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, on Friday 17 January 2025.
Woodstock Town Council Election
Woodstock Town Council (3 seats)
Following three Town Councillor vacancies for the Woodstock Town Council, a town poll has requested to fill the vacancies by election.
Following the close of candidate nominations, an election will be held Thursday 16 January 2025 between the hours of 7am to 10pm, voting will take place for all registered local government electors at:
JN/JP – Woodstock – Blenheim Estate Office, Woodstock Gate, Park Street
JO/JQ – Woodstock Bowls and Tennis Club, Cadogan Park, Woodstock
The Counting of the votes will take place at the Returning Officer address at the Council Offices, Woodgreen, Witney, on Friday 17 January 2025.
Poll Cards were issued to registered local government electors for both Carterton Town Council and Woodstock Town Council.
- The Deadline to register to vote for these elections must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer before 12 midnight Monday 30 December. Applications can be made online at gov.uk/register-to-vote;
- Applications, amendments and cancellations of postal and proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, WODC Council Offices, Woodgreen OX28 1NB by 5pm Thursday 31 December. Applications can be made online at gov.uk/apply-postal-vote;
- Applications to vote by proxy at these elections must reach the Electoral Registration Officer, WODC Council Offices, Woodgreen OX28 1NB by 5pm Wednesday 8 January. Applications can be made online at gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote;
- Applications for a free Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 8 January 2025. Applications can be made online at gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
