Collections in bad weather
Windy weather
If the weather is very windy please make sure your rubbish is as sheltered as possible and all lids are closed.
You are responsible for making sure your rubbish and recycling does not cause littering. Our crews will pick up any rubbish which they drop.
Snow and ice
We may not be able to make a collection if the weather is particularly bad and it would be dangerous for the crews to go out in the lorries. If they are not able to leave the depot safely then we cannot do the collection rounds even if parts of the district are clear.
Making up missed collections
We will try to return and collect missed containers. If this is not possible due to weather conditions, we will make alternative arrangements which will be published on our website.
