Temporary road closure
Applicants wishing to close a road on a temporary basis to hold a parade or a street party require formal permissions to do so, and prior approval must be given by the council before a road may be closed.
Road closure charges
The fees from 2024 to 2025 are:
- Orders with limited impact - £151.75
- Road closures of significant size and/or multiple road closures - £220.50
- Commercial events - £330.75

A Rolling Road Closure from Welch Way Ox28 6JQ from the entrance to Marriott's Close (opposite Nuffield Health Centre) to the Leys Recreational Ground OX28 4BA: The proposed route of the rolling road closure is: Welch Way from pedestrian crossing at Marriott's Walk to the mini roundabout intersection at High Street, turning right to continue south along the east side via Market Square to the intersectional at Corn Street and left turn onto Langdale Gate. Right turn at Buttercross to continue south along the east side of Church Green and Station Lane and veering right into The Leys Recreational Ground. |
