Pay council tax
Your yearly Council Tax charge is normally payable in 10 monthly instalments due on the first of the month. There are a number of different ways to pay your Council Tax.
Pay by direct debit or standing order
To set up a direct debit call us on 01993 861040. Or print and return the direct debit instructions or standing order details to the address on the form.
Pay online
Use your account to make a Council Tax online payment
Pay by telephone
Pay by phone on 01993 861045 at any time using our automated service:
You will need your billing number to use this service which can be found in the top right hand corner of your bill.
Post office or Payzone
You can pay your Council Tax at any Post Office or Payzone using a swipe card. If you pay by this method your payment will take a number of days to reach your account.

If you do not pay your Council Tax
Make sure that your Council Tax payments are received by the due date to avoid getting a reminder. A maximum of two reminders are sent in any one year after which the instalments are cancelled and you will have to pay the full Council Tax charge.
If you do not pay we are required by law to follow statutory Council tax enforcement procedures to recover the debt.
